Lapeno produces phantasmagorical portraits, nudes of all genders, and documentary captures of intimate moments in human lives\u2014families, friends, and lovers. Ordinary and celebratory alike. Photographic records of workshops, conferences, festivals, activist events, and other happenings, always imbued with a dreamlike breath, as proof that the authorship perceives itself somewhere on the fringe of reality. The world is its studio.<\/p>\n
Through human faces and bodies (of all sexes, ages, and forms), it explores their expressions because conventional communication (speech and everyday interactions) is insufficient. Sometimes, it is not even enough for a basic approach to one another, let alone for understanding the essence. In capturing explicit erotic acts, it de-vulgarizes sexual life. In conceptual works, it emphasizes themes of gender, feminism, identity, and freedom.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, the authorship does not possess enough of its own clones to manifest the full breadth and richness of its fantasy. It delights in merging all possible artistic disciplines, mediums, techniques, and approaches and has only categorized itself under „photography“ for the base purposes of this Excel-driven world.<\/p>\n
It refuses to bend to any client demands. It seeks to purge its creative process of such constraints, to excavate and expose the raw core of its artistic conscience and awareness.<\/p>\n
